Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR)

MDR Standards

Disinfection of Devices that Touch the Surface of the Eye – American Academy of Ophthalmology

LOLS10在线直播下注To stay current and promote patient safety, CPSA is reviewing expectations for medical device reprocessing (MDR) in ophthalmology practices. While we conduct research and find a long term solution with partners, we’re temporarily endorsing guidelines from the Joint Commission and American Academy of Ophthalmology.

We strongly recommend clinics follow both resources, which suggest high-level disinfection of any devices that touch the surface of the eye.
